The Cessnock Community of Great Public Schools (CCGPS) will celebrate Education Week from Monday 1st August - Friday 5th August. This year's theme is 'creating futures - education changes lives' and it is a great time to recognise the role our schools play in leading our students on their learning journeys and the exciting opportunities they offer. "This year we have learnt together, grown together and succeeded together. As a CCGPS we have demonstrated how our schools are preparing young people to be agile thinkers and lifelong learners. We understand the shared responsibility we have in helping to shape the lives and create the future of today's learners." Teri Clark (Paxton Public School Principal) Schools will host a range of special activities and events throughout the week for students, parents and community members. This year our schools will again demonstrate their flexibility and adjust to the challenges of COVID-19 with many aspects of this celebration delivered at a local level. The focal point of the week will be our 2022 Education Week Awards. As an alternative to our regular combined awards ceremony, schools will work with their communities to deliver their own education week awards special assembly and ceremony. There are many deserving recipients, initiatives and school programs that will be acknowledged this year. Check out the full list of this year's award recipients below.
